Speaker : Mr. Pete McCarthy
Head of Group Human Factors, Cathay Pacific Airways Limited

Pete McCarthy is Head of Group Human Factors at Cathay Pacific Airways. He is also Visiting Fellow (Human Factors and Accident Investigation) at Cranfield University, and has acted as aircraft accident investigator in the British Army, Military Air Accident Investigation Branch, Farnborough, UK. He is undertaking a PhD in aviation safety and human factors at Cranfield University.
Pete has recently presented his company’s work on Operational Learning for Safety, at Boeing in the US and also to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Dubai, which is a safety initiative he devised as part of his PhD. They have been using it to great effect over the past 3 years – learning a huge amount about the safety of their operation.

Successful application will be notified via email in due course.
	The seminar is free of charge and an one hour certificate will be issued to members of HKOSHA, staff and students of IVE upon completion of the seminar. (It will be subject to Labour Department to count the attendance as CPD).
	If any non-members wish to obtain an attendance certificate (an administration fee, HK$50 will be charged), please contact Ms. Daisy Luk of HKOSHA Secretariat at 2332 9210 for special arrangement. 
	No certificate will be issued to those who arrive 7:35 pm.
