Language: Cantonese Seminar Highlight : Robotics technology is ubiquitous in today's world, playing a pivotal role in our Smart Site Safety System. With a plethora of robot types and numerous corresponding international standards, it's easy for individuals to become perplexed or disinterested in distinguishing between them, prioritizing ease of use over safety considerations. Unfortunately, this oversight can result in serious injuries, as evidenced by recent robotic accidents worldwide. Speaker : Mr. CHOW Lap Yan Mr. Chow serves as the Engineering Manager at the Industrial Centre of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Initially specializing as an Industrial Automation expert within the industry, he transitioned his career focus to workplace safety a decade later. With a tenure of over 30 years as a lecturer, he has imparted knowledge in various domains such as industrial automation, maintenance practices, workplace safety, and, more recently, aviation safety.
