30th Anniversary Activities Highlights

To celebrate its 30th Anniversary, HKOSHA will organize a series of activities for members and the society. Participations and supports from members are paramount for the success of these activities. Details for each of the activities will be announced at appropriate times.
Safety Conference
- This Conference is scheduled on July 26, 2008 and is targeted to offer 3-4 CPD Points for members and safety practitioners. Experience and knowledgeable government officials and professional from related fields will be invited as speakers. It will also include an open forum to be led by young and senior members of the Association.
Commemorative Issue Publication
- To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Association, this publication with include papers and articles about the development of the Association, the OSH and the OSH profession in Hong Kong in the past 30 years. Members and the public will be invited to contribute for these papers and articles. This publication will be published in September this year.
Anniversary Dinner
- This dinner is scheduled on October 17, 2008. Distinguished guests will be invited to join us for the occasion. The program for the Dinner will include, inter alia, entertainment performance, presentation of certificates and awards, lucky draws etc.
Safety Photo Competition
- The contest will be divided into 3 categories, namely: public, student and safety practitioner categories. Awarded photos will be displayed at the 30th Anniversary Dinner in October.
School Safety Ambassador Program
- In collaboration with the Hong Kong Island Southern District School Board, HKOSHA will organize safety seminars for training safety ambassadors for schools. Safety inspections may also be conducted as appropriate.
Mainland Safety Exchange Program
- Experience sharing workshops to be organized with our China counterparts on safety management systems and other safety issues.
